Our Story
We want to share that same love with everyone who walks through our doors or drives up to our window as we hand them their favorite handcrafted beverage to jumpstart their day!
A trip to Hawaii and a tour of a Kona coffee plantation over 10 years ago had a strong impact on both of us. We learned how coffee was grown, picked, and processed. Not only was it the most beautiful vacation we have ever taken, but it also left us with a new appreciation for coffee and a desire to one day roast our own beans. It was then that we began truly deepening our knowledge of roasting.
Ohio Roasting Company was founded in 2018, and our journey officially began. In February 2020, we finally found the right location, and plans began to turn 4870 Frank Ave NW into a local coffee roastery and coffee bar with our mission - to bring our passion to the community in the form of fresh roasted coffee, creative drinks, gelato, and more. Most of all, we wanted to open a place that was clean, bright, and inviting where people could gather over a great cup of coffee.
We broke ground in December 2021 on the designed expansion and created what you see now, all new interior with a new addition, high open ceilings, and a metal exterior complementing the existing brick.
We opened our doors to our first customers on October 1, 2021 and celebrated our grand opening on October 9th. We built this café with the hope of offering the community exactly what we envisioned to be the perfect local community coffee gathering place. We hope that you will come and experience this with us!
